The Hubble Ultra Deep Field In 3D



An animation rendered using the measured redshift of all 10,000 galaxies in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field image. Every galaxy in the image is in its proper distance as viewed from the telescope line of sight.

    There have been a lot of good videos on the ultra deep field. I think that they should point the newly designed hubble there for an extra week and see if it can see ever further. This video is awesome though already made it to the front page on Digg. :)

    these images are incredible and I got a real feeling for just how immense the universe actually is. It’s absolutely mind-blowing if you stop to think about it. It shows us numerous galaxies and the most incredible is that the the universe as is is growing at an accelerating rate. Mind blowing stuff.
